Hi!
My name is Cem Özden, As there are many Cem Özden’s out in this world, I go ahead with the nickname alubukad on the internet. alubukad is a portmanteau meaning it’s formed by concatenating the names of anime characters Alucard, Majin Buu and Katara (t is softened.)
As you could already figure out, I used to be all-in anime kid when i was growing. Though, I turned my anime passion into software development not so long after. I’ve been pretty much in software development world since I was going to the secondary school.
I’ve been mainly involved in developing backend solutions, distributed systems in my professinal career using Java, Scala, TypeScript while I maintain interests in Rust Programming Language, Linux, Cloud/OnPrem Infrastructure.
Outside of the IT world, I’m a big fan of Formula 1 and have been interested in doing podcasts about technical side of F1. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time and energy to pursue doing podcasting anymore. (Maybe one day!)
I currently live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and working for a large financial institution in Utrecht. Previously, I lived in Copenhagen, Kraków and Budapest/Debrecen and originally from Izmir/Turkey. I wrote a blog post about my experience living abroad. You can find it here.
